ANOTHER WEEK GONE

Hi Dear people,
It has been a strange week, my health continues to fluctuate between feeling OK and really needing to rest so my attendance on the grid has been sometimes short an sweet.
Tuesday last week I managed to get to the Drunken Drow early enough to watch the little Dragonette Ari performing her set. She had quite a health scare herself a few days previous and clearly was still struggling to get back on form. However her show was enjoyable never the less.
Our set followed Ari's, and I am glad to say we managed to get a few folks in. We love playing at the Drow so it was good to be joined there by some dear folks we knew well, and a few others we had not met before.
Cailidgh Spires was on the stage after us with a mix of her own songs and some old favourite covers thrown in as well. After Caili, we hopped on over to the  Playhouse to see Lyn Carlberg. Lyn's set is always like a nerve soothing tonic.
Wednesday was a day of challenge in SL. Sunwolf and I were first on the stage at our venue, Ye Olde Wolf n Hawk, and during the middle of the set our RL phone started ringing, neither  one of us could get to it while in mid song and it continued to ring for quite a while. We usually unplug the phone during a show, but it seems that when ever we forget someone rings, which is odd, we only perform for an hour 3 to 4 times a week and yet this is the time folks tend to ring. It's a case of Sods Law I reckon.
Ari was due to perform after us, but we received an IM from her saying she did not feel well so was cancelling her set.It was too short notice to try to find a replacement, but luckily Gweeb, who was due on after Ari saw the cancellation notice go out and  immediately came to the rescue by offering to do an extra half and hour so we would not have too big a gap between sets. Bless him, we mess around and tease him, but really we think he is such kind hearted guy, and well, he gives as good as he gets and more  often than not starts the madness off.
Frank Molko was due to follow Gweeb, but his lovely lady Scarlett had contacted us earlier to let us know that Frank was unwell. As that was the last show for the evening, we decided not to look for a replacement.
Instead I took a dear friend over to Poets of Zarahemia to see Pondman Haalan. This is such a lovely little venue surrounded by gypsy caravans, and in fact the stage is on the steps of one of these. I had not managed to catch one of PondMan's shows since the time he had done a show at our venue, so it was really lovely to hear that familiar voice. I had a touch of nostalgia as I listened remembering when Sunwolf and I used to spend most of our SL time venue hopping and following our favourite performers round the grid. We were not performing ourselves then, and the pub we run had never even been dreamt of. Now don't get me wrong we love what we are doing now, but as Mary Hopkins said in her famous song Those Were The Days My Friends ...... and I could not help but remember those times with fondness.
I am sure I have said this before, but I will risk saying it again, if anyone out there thinks you can make serious money from running a venue in SL then think again. Speaking for ourselves only, we are lucky to break even and often make a loss in fact. We run the pub purely to provide a pleasant place for folks to come to play or watch others perform. We do tend to prefer completely live shows with no backing tracks, as we love to hear the artists own songs and personal interpretations of any cover songs they might do and at the moment all the artists we have performing at our venue fit into this category. Ye Olde Wolf n Hawk, is our way of saying thank you to the SL music scene for giving us hours upon hours of great entertainment and positive feelings as well as the gift of making some wonderful friends we would otherwise never have known.
Thursdays we usually play at Waffles, doing a weekly show there there since last September, as well as watch other great performers, but no more.
Twinky decided to close the venue. It was kind of sudden and due to problems that it is not my place to discuss here. So for us it was the end of an era and I was once again reminded of how quickly things can change  and always before I am ready, or  want them to.
Thursday evening, well for us anyway, is the time we go off to Spice, a lovely little venue run by our dear friends Katja n Tim. There is always a warm welcome to anyone who comes to Spice and the artists they host are always top notch. Last Thursday was even more brilliant than usual Tim's performance was wonderful and he sang several of the songs that really move me.
Lyn Carlberg followed with his gentle blend of folk and love songs.
Next to perform was Mash Rhodes, Now we always love to hear Mash, but this set was for us, the best we have ever heard him do.The last act had cancelled and Mash decided to do an extra half and hour at the end of his show and Wow is all I can say. If you have not heard this wonderfully talented man from Dublin then you need to make a point of doing so and I am proud to say Mash is also playing at our little venue a couple of times  next month.
Friday saw Wolf n Hawk doing their weekly show at Guthries, another venue that is close to our hearts and not just because we have a regular show there, but also because  the shows here are all live artists and the atmosphere is always welcoming.
After our set we stayed to listen to Moses, Lazarus and Quinton then dashed off to RL to get some chores done before we were back to host our own place that evening.
Steveeoilo opened for us and though audience numbers were small the show was wonderful.Stevee's voice is a joy to listen to, such a talented man, you folks who don't know of him are missing out.Stevee plays at our place fortnightly, so if you haven't been in yet to see him then make an effort to do so, we would love to see you there.
Our dear friend Cailidgh Spires followed Stevee. She plays a weekly set for us and I know I speak for her too when I say, why not try to get over to Ye Olde Wolf n Hawk to catch a show of hers, we would be delighted to see you.
Our last act on Friday was a lass who had not played for us before, Mel Cheeky. What a lovely lady and such a great voice, the hour just flew by. Mel is another, not to be missed ,and she has also agreed to play another set for us in April definitely a date to look forward to.
After the shows at our place were over it was a quick trip to an SL dress shop to show my dear friend Blackdwarfbud around. She is only now finding her feet in SL and I know how much she enjoyed our little trip out. So many lovely gowns to drool over and at reasonable prices too. We did not stay too long though as we were on our way to Cuddlers Cove to listen to their Friday evening line up.

TEE HEE THIS IS A LESSER SPOTTED GWEEB

This time it was Steely Dacosta who opened. I had not managed to catch a whole set of his before as he is always performing just as I am having to log off for one reason or another. I was not disappointed , it was a very good show. Gweeb followed Steely so naturally we were all laughing at his antics before the set was over. It is true the man messes about a lot, but make no mistake, it isn't to cover up a lack of talent, far from it.
Saturday found us back at Cuddlers. I had been unable to make it there a couple of times this month and I had really missed it. There is something so comforting in getting to a crazy  Cuddlers Saturday event where our good friends Suka and Quinton always ensure a warm welcome to all.
We heard Quinton doing his originals as well as a few covers, We  never get tired of hearing his beautiful and insightful original songs as well as his distinct interpretations on some old favourites.
Anj Gustafson followed Quinton with his full rich sound always guaranteed to delight and get you dancing in your seat.
Unfortunately The last act had to be cancelled as Suka n Quinton got an urgent family call and had to log off to deal with that. I do hope there was a satisfactory conclusion to that particular issue.
As Sunwolf and I have no shows and no hosting to do at the weekends, we decided to take time away from SL to concentrate on our Real Life chores and concerns which don't seem to go away just because we are not paying attention to them. I am reminded of the saying, Balance in all things, it is neither good or desirable to focus on one thing to the exclusion of all others. For instance, it is not good to dwell solely on what is going wrong in our lives and forget to focus equally on what is right, and to those who think nothing goes right for them, wait a moment, sit quietly and just breath in and out and know that while you can do that something at least is working well for you. From there it is just a small step to realising there are many things that are working well in our lives if only we can look close enough to see them.
So I will leave you with that thought for this week

May all your concerns be small and you joys be great.

IT STARTED WELL BUT...;

Hi People,

To what does the title refer? My health unfortunately. Add to that the time discrepancy between the American clocks that had been changed to Summertime setting and the UK and European ones that have not and I guess I should have know things were going to be challenging this week.
Last Monday night saw Sunwolf and I playing at Southbound, to a small but appreciative group of people. After us should have been the little green dragoness Ari, but she had been quite unwell and so had to cancel her shows
Luckily Cailidgh  Spires stepped in to provide an hour of first class entertainment.
After Caili all three of us went off to watch Gweeb. Blackdwarfbud was also with us, she is, as I have mentioned before an RL friend I have known for many, many years and it is so good to have her joining us on SL at last.
Gweeb was doing a two hour set and I must confess though I enjoyed every minutes, it struck me it was a long time to be on stage compared to the usual hour. I thought this because Sunwolf and I were due to do back to back shows the following day, something we have never done before and I was a bit concerned as to how I would hold up. It was late by the time we finally logged off .
Tuesday, we spent some time re modelling our SL home. Sunwolf likes to build when we are not around the grid and we had decided to completely clear our land and start again. Looking back this perhaps wasn't a wise thing to do but we live and learn.
We did give ourselves a break before our first show of the day. We were opening a fundraiser for R F L  and were very proud to be part of this incredible timetable of events. For those who may not know, R F L is a fund raising initiative aimed at raising money to aide in helping to find a cure for Cancer.  As has been stated by a number of people, there is hardly anyone alive today who has not lost a loved one, friend or relative, or in fact had a brush with this disease themselves. Sunwolf and I had only lost a dear friend in December last year to it, and we have both lost a parent  that way too. So as I said, it was an honour to be the opening act for one of these events.
The show went well though we finished a minute or two early as we had another show immediately following it on the hour at our regular venue The Drunken Drow. We managed to get there and set up with the minimum of fuss and I thanked the powers that be for the Boone of a placid SL doing what it was meant to and not playing . I managed the two hours really well if anything more fired up than normal, but Sunwolf's fingers didn't like it much and I don't think it is something we would want to do regularly, back to back shows I mean.
Cailidgh was again following us, as we are good friends in RL as well as Sl we stayed to watch then went to our land to continue our re modelling and that's when it all began to play up. Sunwolf was repeatedly told he was already logged in when he wasn't, and I was unable to rez anything. After a short while messing about getting no where fast, we gave up and went to watch a D V D.
Wednesday saw us completing our land changes just in time to go to the Pub for our show there. In spite of it being a hour earlier than normal,we had a few people show up so we weren't playing to an empty room as I had feared we might.

                                                  Ringo Playing at our Pub.

We were followed by Ringo Robonaught,  he was using new equipment and his sound was even better than it had been, it was a most enjoyable set. Gweeb took the stage for our last act for the day and as usual had us all laughing. He managed to run over time by 20 minutes as he sang a song about Caili and just about everything else he could put in there. We were in stitches and as we were finishing an hour earlier than normal due to those blessed time change problems, there was no pressure to close, not that we do anyway we often encourage folks to stay to dance or chat if they wish.
Thursday was a beautiful day in RL and we had quite a bit to do that kept us away from the PCs. We did take some time to watch the frogs in our little wildlife pond and a little vole scuttling about getting grass for her nest. The bees were about and flowers opening and we could sit outside with just lightweight clothing on soaking up the fresh air and warmth after months of being shut in stuffy rooms.
We were on line in plenty of time to play our regular Waffles show. I was a little disappointed that Conor Savage was not on before us, as I so love listening to him. So we opened that day and the show was well attended. Unfortunately it was a cut and run day as we were needed back in RL.
We did get back on line to go to Spice in the evening. Tim Anadyr opened as he usually does and by the time his set was finished Sunwolf and I were well chilled out.
Next to play was Mash Rhode and we had been looking forward to hearing him. He played an hour set of Beatles songs and he did it well, but Sunwolf and are are among the few who never liked the Beatles. Sorry I know that is Sacrilege to many and there is the odd song of theirs that we don't mind, but I am an honest  sort and that is the truth of it.
Dusty Smythe was next to the stage and did a great set. We have always loved Dusty's shows from the first time we saw him when he was doing a fill in at Guthries.
Linus Radford was following Dusty and we had only heard him once before but it wasn't to be. On his second song I started to feel decidedly unwell and I have had this problem for enough years now to recognise the clues. So it was time to log out and go to bed.
Friday I managed to do our set at Guthries. I am so glad about that, there was a good audience and the show went well, though we had to laugh when we were caught in a rolling restart with two minutes to go before the end of our set. We normally stay to watch the wonderful line up Dottie puts together,  but though I left my Avi  dancing, I was laying on the sofa feeling far from good. I had hoped enough rest early on might pull me through but it didn't look likely and by the time I had finished hosting at our venue on Friday evening I was just about all in, so instead of dancing at Cuddlers Cove in SL, I was laying in bed feeling decidedly rough in RL.
Saturday I again missed my regular afternoon at Cuddlers. I couldn't operate my keyboard anyway as the trapped nerve in my neck was also giving me hell. I managed to rally enough to do our opening show for RFL and was thrilled when Dottie turned up for a few minutes before she left for RL work. It was so nice to see her at a  show where she wasn't having to work, if only for a little while. I was going to log then but I had said I would try to make the 24 hour fundraiser for Feed a Smile  and when I saw that our dear friend Quinton was playing I was determined to stay on line just one more hour. It was worth every minute of it.
Since then I have not been on line until it was time to do this blog. As you have probably guessed I hate letting folks down and will only do so when I absolutely have to.

Hoping for a better week this week.

Love to you all.

TRAVELS AND OBSERVATIONS

Hello folks, it's that time again!

Last Monday saw me messing about with a friend, she is new and we are helping her find her way around the SL grid and the keyboard. I must admit since I have been assisting her I have been more aware of the intolerance quite a few folks have towards people who are new and trying to learn what to do and how to do it. Yes, some new players can be a pain, but then again so can some of the  more established folks, especially the ones who delight in griefing. As for my friend, she is just wanting to enjoy herself just like the rest of us.
I only attended one show on Monday and that was at Starsailor where Gweeb was doing his thing, along with exploding Noobs, just a bit of fun and people were enjoying themselves blowing them up, but I couldn't help wondering what my friend thought about it.
Tuesday, Sunwolf and I were playing at the Drunken Drow, a venue we particularly like and where our stream had failed last week. This time it was Ari, our friendly little dragoness who had to cancel and to our dismay Cailidgh Spires, who usually follows us also cancelled due to a sore throat. Sunwolf said he felt like we were Billy No Mates, we had a laugh about that, but hoped everyone would be back in time for next weeks show as we love playing in a line up of folks who are friends.
We then moved on to the Playhouse to catch Lyn Carlberg, who played a lovely soothing set. It was nice to be among so many friends at such a welcoming venue.
Wednesday, Sunwolf was out in RL for the whole day which left me to go venue hoping looking for a fill in act for our Friday show as Cailidgh's throat was no better she had cancelled her show.
You know, speaking with my venue owners hat on, I know it can be uncomfortable to have to tell an artist that they are not quite what you are looking for, but surely it is better than pretending you will get back to them when you are 'not so busy' or when you have some' space on your calender'. I personally do not like having to disappoint people who approach us for a show, but I think to tell them tactfully and gently the truth is to honour them and their talent. After all, their show may not be what I am looking for, but that is in no way a value judgement on them.  What isn't right for one venue  may be just perfect for somewhere else.
Now a change of hats, as half of a performing duo, it can be frustrating and demoralising to be so obviously fobbed off.Neither Sunwolf or I, find it terribly comfortable to approach venue owners for a show anyway without being given some excuse or other, when what the venue owner wanted to say was,' sorry but I do not think your music it quite right for us,' at least then we would all know where we stand and Sunwolf and I wouldn't be left waiting around for an invitation to play that will never come.
Wednesday evening, well for us in the UK, it was time for us to play our own venue and then host the rest of the evenings acts. RonnieMayes was with us again and delivered a great set. He was followed by Gweeb's particular brand of mayhem and music, we always end up laughing at a Gweeb show.Normally Gweeb is our last show on a Wednesday, but on this occasion, we put an extra hour on to allow us to host the extremely talented Frank Molko and he rewarded us by performing a wonderful set and playing his latest song for the first time, Seagull, it is such a lovely song.

My dear friend Katja Dancing at the pub
Afterwards, we stayed at the pub just chatting a joking with dear friends Katja, Tim, Scarlett and Frank, such a nice way to unwind at the end of our day.
Thursday,  Sunwolf and I nipped over to Guthries to watch sets by Dusty Smythe and Steveeolio wonderful performers both. I then went on to see Conor Savage at Waffles who was playing the set before ours. Sunwolf had some notices and bits and pieces to do but was able to listen through my stream and managed to join me in plenty of time. We had a bit of fun when we took the stage as I had been so engrossed in Conor's performance that I had forgotten to turn my stream off consequently a verse into our first song it began playing back to my horrified confusion. Luckily Sunwolf was near my pc as I am not when we perform, he was able to switch it off and we began the song again. After that little problem the set went well and it was good to see so many people out there listening. It never fails to touch our hearts that folks do turn up and stay to hear our music and some of them say such lovely encouraging things.
Jed Tharnaby was unable to make his set and though a replacement was found Real Life had finally caught up with us and so we were unable to stay around this time.
Thursday evening, we were at Spice our usual hangout, to hear Tim Anadyr, his show is always a delight. After him however we had got a call from a friend so we popped over to the opening of a new place. It was called The Village Cafe and is owned, run and built I believe,by a lass called Ferdy. MY friend need not have worried about attendance, there were a lot of folks there including Still Braveheart and Lady Catz. The show seemed to go well, and I wish Ferdy well with the venue for the future.
It was then a quick hop back to Spice to catch Lyn Carlberg's mix of folk and love songs.
Mamaa Saiz was the last act Spice that night. It was so great to hear him as we had been unable to catch one of his shows for what seemed like an age. Mamaa's  set is such a consistent joy to listen to, and a lovely way to end our day before much needed rest.
Friday saw performing the opening show for Guthries, how we love performing there. Dottie, the venue owner, wasn't there when it was time to begin the show, but as she has always said just to start if that ever happens we did so. It is most unusual for Dottie to be late, even with the phenomenal amount of work it takes to run the venue, and we were left wondering is she was ok.
It was reassuring to see her walk through the door in the middle of our third song, Guthries just wouldn't be Guthries without her and I know many folks love the place and Dottie as much as we do.
Our  show was well attended and people were so sweet and complimentary it was such a lovely feeling and I swear I felt my heart grow. There are not really adequate words to describe that wonderful feeling. Sunwolf and I love what we do and we also love trying to bring a little bit of that love and joy through to touch the people who come to watch us play.
We were followed by Moses, Lazarus and Quinton as usual and none of them were disappointing, a great way to chill before we had to go to our venue to host.
Russell Eponym opened at Ye Olde Wolf  n Hawk, It is always an wonderful if extremely busy hour for us as we try to host the event well. Jasmyn Sugarplum was a Godsent as part of the Epnymous Family, she joined us with the hosting .She does it so well, that it helps take some of the pressure off me a little, who sometimes feels like I have bananas for fingers and eyes that look but don't tell my brain what they are seeing.
Still it is all worth it for the wonderful atmosphere that Russell and the family generate.
To follow Russell we had the fantastic MashRhode, it was his first time at the pub and he delivered a brilliant set. It was so good to hear him again as he was another artist we had not been able to catch in a long time.If you have never heard him then you are definitely missing out and should go along to a show of his as soon as you can.
Our final show that evening was the smooth voice and stylish guitar tones of Steveeolio, he played to a small but extremely appreciative audience, yet I can't help wondering why he doesn't seem to attract more people. The man is so professional and such a joy to listen to, so come on all you out there, give him a listen, I would be surprised if he didn't captivate you with his warm personality and talented delivery.
We finished off our evening with another of those pub chats, this time with our lovable lion Ringo who was as I have said before the guy who came up with the idea for our venue's name. Such a great way to end an evening's work.
This weekend we were not on line as Real Life claimed all our time for our Spring Cleaning, Saturday we concentrated on the bungalow and Sunday it was the turn of the garden. So there is not much more to say this week, but I do just want to mention something that I think needs saying.
Most of the folks on the music scene know how important it is to keep the venues running, they know that if they can afford to give some lindens to the venue tips jars it is always gratefully received and put to good use.Another integral part of the music scene are the audiences without whom there would be little point in performing, so you guys out there are every bit as important too. As Sunwolf or I often state during our shows and hosting stints, it takes all three components to keep things thriving on the music scene. You would think therefore that those hosting shows would want to to all they can to make it an enjoyable time for everyone, but there is one thing that some  owners and ,or hosts do that really gets up my nose, and if it annoys me then the chances are it annoys others too hence the mention here.
Please stop telling the audience to tip the venue and or artists every 5 MINUTES it is not necessary and is so irritating.Yes by all means a gentle reminder a couple of times a show, but no one need what amounts to nagging every few minutes. I tend not to go back to places that do this, and if I feel that way, then I know the chances are so will some other folks.
Well that's it moan over, and as I often say if anyone would like to comment on my observations then please feel free to do so, either here or on my Facebook page.

Till next week may your positives outweigh your negatives.

Venues, Musicians and Stream Problems.

Hi Good people,
I do hope this finds you well and thriving.
Last Monday saw Wolf n Hawk playing a new venue. Just three weeks old. Starsailor is run by an Italian guy, Gianni. It is a nice little place and though the audience was quite small they seemed to enjoy themselves and that after all, is what it is all about for Sunwolf and I.
We had an hour break after the show and then it was off to Southbound, another warm, welcoming venue that we are playing every two weeks. After our set, we stayed awhile to listen to a new act. It factor is a young American with a quite unusual way of presenting his songs. He was joined on one or two of them by his girlfriend and we enjoyed what both of them had to offer. If you like something a bit different from the norm, then go to one of his shows and see what you think.
Tuesday, we went off to play our usual slot at the Drunken Drow. This venue is fast becoming a firm favourite of ours, it has a nice feel to it and we get to play on the same bill as our dear friends Ari, the little dragoness and Cailidgh Spires. We did not get to play however, as our stream went down and nothing we could do made a bit of difference. It was such a shock,  our stream has never faltered once since we began playing on September 1st last year. But we have learnt from this rather frustrating and disappointing experience and we now have a back up stream, just in case. We eventually were able to contact the stream provider and found out that the main server  had gone down. It took them many hours  to get it back on line and in fact we were notified it was running again two minutes after we had used our back up to do a show at our place on Wednesday. We hate letting folks down and disappointing an audience, so the mood in our little studio room was not good. I decided to use the rest of the evening working on our own venue calender and helping a friend who is new to second life get her head and fingers around the keyboard. Like me she is an older lady but unlike me she has no one sitting beside her to show her what is what and she has never used a pc before. There were several long phone calls which, luckily for me are free.It did feel a bit like  the blind leading the blind at some points, but then I had Sunwolf on hand to bail us both out, bless him I think he gets quite bemused sometimes.
Wednesday, as mentioned above we had a back up stream in place and played our regular show at our place. We were followed by Ronniemayes. It was so good to hear him again as it had been around a month since he was last at the pub and we had not managed to catch him anywhere else.Ronnie made my night when he played an old Norfolk song from the Singing Postman .I just love his version of it.I think it will have to be a standing request from me, though I don't think I will tell him that or he might go missing. Gweeb followed Ronnie, with his rather strange mix of silliness and sheer talent. He is another guy we never tire of hearing.
When we left that night, folks had settled in to chat and dance to the radio, not our usual indie spectrum as they were off line with problems, but folks didn't seem to mind and we love the idea that people come to the pub as a meeting place when we are not hosting live shows as well as when we are.
Thursday is Waffles day, and we get there as early as we can to watch the awesome Conor Savage. We just can't get enough of his music and his voice. We took over from Conor on the stage and the set was well attended. It always touches my heart to see folks out there listening to our songs and I hope they take the same amount of enjoyment from it that we do as we perform for them. Jed Tharnby followed us and again we stay if we can to listen.
After Jed's set, it is time to log off for awhile and sort out our real lives things like eating and the resultant chores, all worked through in time to log back on for our evening's entertainment at Spice. It was the first time my RL friend had been to this venue with us and what a wonderful line up she got to hear for her first time.Tim, who is part venue owner with Katja did his usual opening slot with a wonderful mix of songs guarantee to touch anyone with their beauty. He was followed by the awesome Russell Eponym and I can honestly say in all the shows of his I have been to I have never been less than delighted . He is a true professional in every sense of the word and such a lovely person too. I am proud to say he is a dear friend of ours too. Frank Molko came next to sooth us with his gentle songs and expressive vocal style.  Lyn Carlberg  took over  from there. His sets are always so relaxing and mellow. By the time Spice closed for the evening, I was able to retire for the night tired, but chilled out and contented, just the way I like to feel when it's time to sleep.
Friday, our busiest day, saw us do our opening set at GuthriesRL and those damned chores again.
Then it was back on line to host out own venue for Steveeolio, Cailidgh Spires and our lovable lion Ringo. It gives me such a warm feeling to see folks dancing, chatting and joking at out little venue while being entertained by some of the sweetest musicians we know. It maybe sounds  old hat, to say we love everyone who comes through our bead curtain(, we had to take the door off as it was giving some folks hassle) but we do. The hard work that comes with performing and hosting as well as planning shows, is all worthwhile when

Rapture, Demonstix and Strummer at Cuddlers Cove.

you see folks returning  each week and know that they are enjoying being there.
To round off our Friday we went to see some more dear friends of ours at Cuddlers Cove. It was Suka's RL birthday and we partied down to the awesome Rapture Daemon and her two sons Demonstix,(drummer) who is 14 and Strummer(bass and guitar) who is only 13, and before anyone begins to think, oh how sweet, nope that doesn't cover it. They were truly awesome. I have been to see live bands who did not perform as well as they did. They rocked our socks off. Here I would also like to mention the 4th family member and sound man Ser Hax. It is not so easy to get the wonderful quality of sound we heard, balanced so well you could every ones contribution  clearly. My only complaint was that the hour went too quickly. I f you like a bit of lively rock with a lady who has the voice to carry it, then get to see them as soon as you can.
Kitzie Lane, followed Rapture and the boys, with her own style and way of presenting familiar songs. She is always a joy to hear. At this point we should have been heading for sleep, but we then were told Quinton was playing a set and so off we went again. Yes, I know we had heard him earlier in the day, but as I said some people you can't get too much of and he is one of those in our book. This was a new venue to us called My Wish Music Park a nice open air venue. Run by Lady Catz. Suka was also there, and for us it was like the, good old days, before we all got so busy that we hardly ever meet except when we go to Cuddlers.Though I love what we are doing now and wouldn't choose to change it, I do some times think back to the days when we did not perform or run a venue, so all our time could be spent venue hopping.
Saturday, Sunwolf and I decided to take our away day from the PCs catching up on the ever present RL chores as well as music practise venue timetables etc. It is so lovely that musicians want to play for us, but trying to fit everyone in  can be a head ache and we have had to resort to adding a couple of extra shows here and there rather than disappoint folks, and still I am struggling to fit everyone in.
Sunday, I only came on line briefly to sort out some venue dates etc and then RL family claimed my time for the rest of the day.
Which brings us to now as I sit here putting this together.

A big heartfelt thank you to all who have a read of my blog and please feel free to leave any comments or constructive criticism you may have, or you can contact me via my facebook page.

Till next time, may your life be filled with good things and your sorrows melt away.
